About the Role

FMR Agency is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Compliance and Legal Officer to spearhead the design, implementation, and oversight of our robust compliance framework. In this vital role, you will ensure our multi-sector operations—spanning IT, Finance, Foreign Exchange, Cryptocurrency, and Oil and Gas—strictly adhere to local and international regulatory standards while supporting our innovative business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and continuously enhance enterprise-wide compliance programs across all business units.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, managing communications, reviews, and examinations.
  • Conduct thorough compliance risk assessments, audits, and gap analyses to mitigate potential exposures.
  • Develop, review, and enforce comprehensive compliance policies, internal controls, and employee training programs.
  • Lead internal investigations into compliance breaches and recommend effective corrective actions.
  • Provide expert advisory support to executive leadership and the Board on evolving regulatory obligations.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Mandatory ACAMS certification.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory roles, including at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks across finance, fintech, crypto, and energy sectors in Nigeria.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
