We are currently recruiting a seasoned Senior Completions Engineer on behalf of our esteemed client in the oil and gas sector. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing and executing high-integrity well completion operational plans aimed at maximizing production potential and ensuring long-term wellbore longevity across onshore and offshore environments. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective completion solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the comprehensive design and execution of upper and lower completion systems, sand control operations, and artificial lift integration.
- Supervise critical offshore and onshore completion field trials and operational interventions to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Utilize advanced completion modeling software to simulate scenarios, optimize well performance, and mitigate operational risks.
- Provide expert technical guidance to junior engineers, operations personnel, and external contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure all well completion and intervention activities strictly adhere to health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) guidelines.
- Evaluate new completion technologies and methodologies to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of focused professional experience specifically in well completions and well interventions within the oil and gas industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in sand control design, artificial lift systems, and complex completion architectures.
- Strong proficiency in industry-standard completion modeling and design software.
- Exceptional project management, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian oil and gas regulatory frameworks and offshore safety procedures.
