In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping students' academic journeys by delivering high-quality mathematics instruction, fostering critical thinking, and ensuring excellent preparation for crucial senior secondary external examinations. Key Responsibilities- Plan, structure, and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons aligned with the approved curriculum for senior classes.
- Prepare students thoroughly for internal assessments and major external examinations such as WAEC, NECO, and JAMB.
- Develop comprehensive lesson plans, instructional materials, assignments, and periodic evaluations.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record students' academic progress, attendance, and overall performance.
- Identify individual learning gaps and provide targeted academic support to struggling students.
- Maintain effective classroom management to ensure a disciplined, safe, and positive learning environment.
- Encourage the practical application of mathematical concepts and stimulate critical thinking among students.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues and school management to continually improve academic outcomes.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development training, and school extracurricular activities.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc), Bachelor of Education (BEd), or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mathematics, Education, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 2 to 3 years of verifiable teaching experience, specifically handling senior secondary school classes.
- Exceptional knowledge of Mathematics with a demonstrated ability to simplify and explain complex concepts clearly.
