About the Role
Ascentech Services Limited is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Senior Civil Engineer to join our client's growing team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will take charge of supervising and managing diverse civil construction activities from inception to final handover, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across multiple project sites.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and manage civil construction activities from project commencement through completion across multiple sites in Lagos.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, site supervisors, and artisans to ensure timely project delivery.
- Interpret and implement engineering drawings, designs, specifications, and construction plans.
- Oversee comprehensive civil works including foundations, concrete works, structural works, earthworks, drainage, and roads.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules, proactively identifying and resolving potential construction delays.
- Conduct regular site inspections to guarantee the highest quality of workmanship and materials.
- Identify technical challenges on site and provide practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors, MEP engineers, and clients.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements across all project sites.
- 9 to 15 years of extensive, hands-on construction industry experience.
- Proven track record managing multiple construction projects such as buildings, factories, industrial facilities, and infrastructure.
- Strong practical knowledge of civil engineering methodologies, site supervision, and project execution.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- B.Sc. or B.Eng. in Civil Engineering is an advantage, though substantial practical experience will be strongly considered.
- COREN registration or other relevant professional certifications are a distinct advantage.
