About the Role
RACHAM Empowerment and Humanitarian Foundation (REHF) is a faith-inspired humanitarian organization dedicated to empowering orphans, widows, and vulnerable populations across Nigeria through sustainable and impactful interventions. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Caregiver to oversee the daily operations of our residential children's home. In this vital role, you will ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured environment that promotes the holistic development, dignity, and well-being of every child in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily operations of the orphanage and residential children's home to maintain a secure and homely environment.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide junior caregivers and residential support staff to ensure high standards of care.
- Monitor and address children's comprehensive needs regarding healthcare, personal hygiene, nutrition, and feeding plans.
- Implement and strictly enforce organizational child safeguarding, protection policies, and best practices.
- Coordinate educational, recreational, and developmental activities to foster positive growth among residents.
- Maintain accurate records, manage routine administrative tasks, and collaborate closely with foundation management.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in caregiving and residential facility management.
- Proven hands-on experience managing an orphanage or residential children's home in Nigeria.
- Deep working knowledge of child safeguarding, protection standards, and children's rights.
- Demonstrated ability in supervising caregivers, evaluating performance, and leading residential support teams.
- Strong understanding of child welfare, pediatric healthcare, sanitation, hygiene, and balanced nutrition.
- Exceptional leadership qualities, absolute integrity, patience, and deep compassion for vulnerable youth.
- Willingness to reside on-site and work within the orphanage environment as required by the role.
- Ability to provide verifiable professional and character references upon request.
