About the Role
Bluechip Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced Senior BI Developer to join our dynamic Data Services Division on a permanent, client-embedded basis. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise-scale business intelligence and analytics solutions for top-tier clients across telecommunications, financial services, oil and gas, retail, and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities- Own the end-to-end delivery of the BI and reporting layer for client Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and BI engagements.
- Design and develop robust semantic and reporting layers, including measures, calculated fields, hierarchies, row-level security, and naming standards.
- Lead requirements gathering for dashboard layouts, report types, drill-through hierarchies, and data-refresh SLAs.
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports in alignment with UX/UI standards and corporate branding.
- Optimise reporting performance through query folding, aggregations, DirectQuery, and Import mode techniques.
- Conduct design and code reviews, and mentor junior BI developers.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, and stakeholders to deliver scalable BI solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of hands-on BI experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity.
- Relevant professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or Tableau Certified Data Analyst.
- Advanced proficiency in enterprise BI platforms like Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy, or Looker, along with strong SQL skills.
