As we scale, we are looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our world-class engineering team in Lagos, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, deploy, and maintain complex software systems and high-availability backend services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver robust new product features.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure strict adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, scalability issues, and security vulnerabilities.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to help them achieve their full professional potential.
- Participate actively in technical hiring to attract and retain top-tier engineering talent.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience with proven impactful contributions.
- Expertise in modern programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, or Go, with a strong preference for TypeScript.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, distributed systems, and microservices.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong grasp of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
