We are currently looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer to join our vibrant engineering team in Nigeria and help build complex, high-performing software systems that drive business success.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software systems meeting client and business requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using PHP and frameworks such as Laravel and Lumen.
- Implement SOLID programming principles and adhere strictly to Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
- Design, integrate, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and relational databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams including Business Analysts, Product Managers, and frontend developers.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing products to enhance performance and ensure bug-free application delivery.
- Maintain standard code documentation and resolve customer support requests within defined SLAs.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive professional backend development experience with strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel/Lumen.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, ORM frameworks, and modern version control tools like Git.
- Familiarity with cloud computing architectures, Linux server management, and basic DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments with a strong focus on TDD and code quality.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and ability to manage time effectively under tight deadlines.
