About the Role
Punuka Attorneys & Solicitors, a distinguished member of Lawyers Associated Worldwide (LAW), is looking for a driven and accomplished Senior Associate to join our expanding practice. As part of our global network spanning over 180 commercial centers, you will play a pivotal role in advising corporate clients on sophisticated domestic and cross-border transactions, leveraging our accumulated international goodwill and expertise.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and provide expert legal counsel on complex commercial transactions, corporate restructuring, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Represent clients in high-stakes negotiations, arbitrations, and court proceedings across various superior courts of record in Nigeria.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide junior associates, reviewing draft legal opinions, contracts, and court processes to ensure exceptional quality.
- Coordinate seamlessly with international correspondent firms within the LAW network to deliver comprehensive cross-border legal solutions.
- Maintain strong, proactive relationships with existing clients while actively participating in business development and firm growth initiatives.
- Possess a minimum of an LLB degree and a BL from the Nigerian Law School.
- An LLM or specialized postgraduate degree from a recognized institution will be a distinct advantage.
- Demonstrate 7 to 9 years of active post-call experience in commercial law, dispute resolution, or corporate practice.
- Proven track record of managing complex legal projects independently and leading multidisciplinary legal teams.
