Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Registrar in the day-to-day administration and efficient running of the Registry department.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate junior administrative staff to ensure high standards of performance and productivity.
  • Coordinate meetings, prepare comprehensive agendas, and take accurate minutes for statutory university committees and boards.
  • Manage sensitive student and staff records, ensuring strict confidentiality and adherence to institutional policies.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including corporate partners, government agencies, and the general public.
  • Implement administrative policies, procedures, and quality assurance frameworks aligned with the university's strategic goals.
  • Handle correspondence, draft official university memos, and manage documentation for academic and administrative processes.

Qualifications
  • Must possess a good honours degree from a recognized and accredited university.
  • A minimum of 9 years of post-qualification administrative experience, specifically within a university system or an equivalent tertiary institution.
  • Possession of a relevant Master's degree will be an added advantage and is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and coordinate complex administrative workflows.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in modern office technology and management software.
  • High level of integrity, strong problem-solving abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.
