About the Role
Alaro City, a premier mixed-income, city-scale development featuring commercial, industrial, residential, and recreational spaces, is looking for a dynamic Senior Architect to join our growing team in Epe, Lagos. In this pivotal role, you will establish and manage the Development Control Company (DCC) of Alaro City, ensuring a safe, healthy, and efficiently regulated built urban environment.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and manage the Development Control Company of Alaro City to create an effective and efficient built urban environment and enforce regulations.
- Review client development plans for compliance before circulation to the DCC Committee.
- Administer DCC review and approval fees, manage approval schedules, and track development workflows.
- Conduct routine site visits and frequent inspections to ensure strict adherence to approved plans, quality workmanship, and safety standards.
- Develop and present architectural design proposals, renders, drawings, specifications, and budgets for Alaro City projects.
- Liaise between the DCC, clients, contractors, regulators, and internal infrastructure teams.
- Prepare detailed analytical and status reports on construction activities, deviations, and ongoing projects for decision-makers.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, with equivalent experience in Project Management or Construction Management.
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience involving mixed-use developments or diversified property portfolios.
- Strong general construction knowledge with the ability to interact effectively with engineers, architects, and city planners.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting CAD files, including MEP, and mastery of Microsoft Office Suite.
- In-depth knowledge of urban planning best practices, industry regulations, and OSHA guidelines.
- Exceptional interpersonal, reporting, and communication skills, with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
