About the Role
Everty owns and develops prime real estate around the world, boasting a portfolio of Class-A commercial, residential, hotel, and mixed-use properties spanning the Americas, Europe, Africa, and Asia. We are currently looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Nigeria to drive financial excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and support our continued global growth.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, direct, and coordinate all accounting operational functions and workflows.
- Manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for accurate business results.
- Coordinate and prepare ongoing internal and external financial reports.
- Manage external auditor relationships and coordinate interim and annual audit activities.
- Provide executive management with vital financial insights for strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate accounting and internal control systems, implementing improvements as needed.
- Oversee regulatory reporting, comprehensive tax planning, and statutory compliance.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly operating cash flows to maintain financial stability.
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting, plus a recognized professional accountancy accreditation (e.g., ICAN, ACCA).
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar accounting leadership role.
- Prior experience in Real Estate accounting is mandatory; Big Four audit experience is a distinct advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Expert knowledge of local accounting standards, regulations, and tax policies.
- Completed the compulsory 1-year NYSC or possess a valid exemption certificate.
- Possession of a valid National Identity Card/NIMC slip upon commencement of employment.
