We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Senior Accountant to join our dynamic internal finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, producing accurate financial reports, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making for our growing organization.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare, review, and analyze comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Supervise journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and seamless month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Ensure full compliance with local and international accounting standards, internal financial policies, and statutory regulatory requirements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes to optimize cash flow and banking activities.
- Assist executive leadership in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
- Oversee tax preparation processes and liaise effectively with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Identify, develop, and implement financial process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and data accuracy.
- Provide active mentorship, guidance, and training to junior accountants and finance interns.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (Master's degree is an added advantage).
- Active professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA (required or in advanced stages).
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive accounting experience in a structured corporate environment.
- Strong proficiency in industry-standard accounting software including Sage, QuickBooks, or SAP, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Deep understanding of GAAP and IFRS principles with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
