About the Role

Habrams Energy Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to lead our day-to-day Finance and Accounts function. In this pivotal role, you will oversee financial accounting, management reporting, project accounting, cash-flow management, and internal controls while providing hands-on leadership to our accounting team. We are looking for a dedicated professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and can deliver actionable financial insights to support our continued growth in the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the general ledger, accounting records, monthly and year-end close processes, management accounts, and financial statements.
  • Review bank, receivables, payables, and balance-sheet reconciliations while analyzing financial performance and variances.
  • Prepare, monitor, and control project budgets, revenues, costs, commitments, and expenditure.
  • Monitor project margins, cost-to-complete, variations, unbilled revenue, and project receivables to identify cost overruns.
  • Prepare cash-flow forecasts, monitor working capital, and manage supplier obligations to mitigate liquidity risks.
  • Maintain robust financial controls, enforce segregation of duties, and coordinate tax, statutory compliance, and audit requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff, ensuring clear deadlines, accountability, and strict financial discipline.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Active ICAN, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project accounting, cost control, profitability analysis, and working-capital management.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or major ERP systems.
  • Prior experience in Engineering, Oil & Gas, Construction, or project-driven organizations is a distinct advantage.
