About the Role
Dr. Peter Odili Cancer & Cardiovascular Hospital (POCCH) is a leading tertiary healthcare institution in Port Harcourt dedicated to delivering advanced medical care at international standards. We are seeking a diligent and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team and contribute to our mission of excellence in healthcare delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily financial operations, including general ledger management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant standards.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial variance analysis to support strategic hospital initiatives.
- Ensure strict compliance with tax regulations, statutory deductions, and financial reporting standards in Nigeria.
- Coordinate internal and external audit processes, implementing robust financial controls and risk management strategies.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate mid-level finance staff to ensure high performance and accuracy.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Must be an ICAN Certified Chartered Accountant (ACA or FCA).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a mid-level management role.
- Strong proficiency in financial management software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
