About the Role
Smartcity Resorts Plc is an investment and infrastructure company dedicated to creating modern real estate and infrastructure projects that allow people to live, work, and relax in more pleasant and productive ways. We are currently looking for a dynamic and analytical Senior Account Officer to join our finance team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in financial planning, investment analysis, and capital allocation to support our cutting-edge technological and real estate developments.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare budgets, forecasts, financial projections, and variance analyses to support executive management decision-making.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, analyze financial returns, assess risks, and support investment appraisal and due diligence.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models, cash-flow projections, scenario analyses, and investment performance reports.
- Monitor liquidity, forecast cash requirements, track fund utilization, and support effective cash-flow planning.
- Track the financial performance of investments and projects against approved budgets, targets, and expected returns.
- Provide financial insights to support funding decisions, capital deployment, and the assessment of investment priorities.
- Prepare periodic financial analysis and reports highlighting performance, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
- Collaborate with Accounts, Compliance, and Audit functions to obtain reliable financial data while maintaining operational distinctions.
- Bachelor degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Approximately 4 to 8 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning, investment analysis, or treasury.
- Prior experience in real estate, investment management, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries is a distinct advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow analysis, and investment appraisal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and advanced financial analysis tools.
- Relevant professional qualifications such as ACA or CFA, completed or in progress, will be preferred.
