About the Role
Abuja Clinics was established in 1989 as a premier health institution to provide efficient medical services across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). From humble beginnings, we have grown into a trusted group of three multi-specialty hospitals located in the Karu, Garki, and Maitama districts, equipped with advanced medical technology and staffed by dedicated healthcare professionals. We are currently seeking a vigilant, dependable, and professional Security Officer to join our team and ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain round-the-clock physical security and surveillance across designated hospital premises to deter unauthorized access and criminal activities.
- Monitor access control points, verifying the identity of staff, visitors, and vendors entering the hospital grounds.
- Respond promptly to security alarms, distress calls, and emergency situations, taking swift and appropriate action.
- Collaborate effectively with local law enforcement agencies and emergency responders when incidents require escalation.
- Maintain detailed daily incident logs, security reports, and visitor records with utmost discretion and confidentiality.
- Enforce hospital security policies, parking regulations, and safety protocols professionally and cordially.
- Conduct routine patrols of buildings, perimeters, and parking areas to identify potential safety hazards or security vulnerabilities.
- Minimum of an SSCE qualification, with additional security certifications considered an advantage.
- At least 2 years of proven security experience, preferably within a healthcare or corporate environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a cordial, patient, and approachable demeanor.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Possession of problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a technical mindset regarding modern security systems.
