About the Role
HTL Africa is a renowned afro-centric architecture practice committed to thinking, researching, and building across diverse scales and typologies. Operating from hubs in Lagos and Johannesburg, our innovative body of work includes pioneering concepts like affordacity, envisioning sustainable future African cities. We are currently seeking a talented and driven Architect to join our dynamic team in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Design and fellow architects to bring visionary architectural concepts to life, blending creativity with rigorous technical execution.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Head of Design and multidisciplinary teams to brainstorm, plan, and execute architectural projects across various scales.
- Prepare comprehensive design concepts, detailed working drawings, and physical or digital architectural models.
- Conduct thorough architectural and contextual research to introduce fresh, sustainable perspectives to ongoing projects.
- Manage essential project documentation, including preparing proposals, completing construction paperwork, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Monitor project timelines and track progress to ensure adherence to legal specifications and internal quality standards.
- Perform ad-hoc duties and support senior architects and leadership as required to ensure smooth studio operations.
- Bachelor or Master degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated proficiency in standard architectural design and drafting software.
- Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual design ability, technical drawing skills, and a passion for sustainable African architecture.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask, meet strict deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced studio environment.
