About the Role
Heritage Kidney and Medical Care (HKMC), a leading specialist healthcare institution and pioneer of Abuja's first kidney transplant, is seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our professional team. In this vital role, you will help maintain a secure, peaceful, and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and medical staff, supporting our mission of delivering exceptional, patient-centered healthcare services in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the safety and security of all patients, staff, visitors, and hospital property while strictly controlling access and monitoring all entry and exit points.
- Conduct regular patrols of hospital premises, parking lots, and surrounding areas to deter and prevent theft, vandalism, unauthorized access, and disturbances.
- Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, medical emergencies, alarms, and crowd-control situations.
- Enforce hospital security rules, policies, and safety procedures while providing courteous assistance to patients and visitors.
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, security incidents, and visitor logs as required by facility management.
- Proven previous experience in a security role, preferably within a hospital, healthcare facility, or corporate environment.
- Strong observation, situational awareness, and effective verbal communication skills.
- Physically fit and capable of standing for extended periods and carrying out routine patrol duties.
- Basic knowledge of safety protocols, fire safety, and emergency response procedures is a distinct advantage.
