About the Role
Doviana College of Education, an approved private tertiary institution by the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) based in Gboko, Benue State, is seeking dedicated and disciplined Security Guards. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining a safe, secure, and conducive academic environment by protecting lives, property, and college infrastructure in line with institutional policies and government regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Control entry and exit of staff, students, visitors, and vehicles at college gates while verifying identification and documentation.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems, conduct routine day and night patrols, and secure buildings, hostels, laboratories, and lecture halls.
- Prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing, and unauthorized activities across the campus premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, fire outbreaks, and security breaches, reporting incidents immediately to the Chief Security Officer.
- Enforce campus rules, maintain accurate gate and visitor registers, and provide professional customer service to all campus visitors.
- Attend required security drills, parades, and training sessions scheduled by the institution.
- Minimum of SSCE qualification (WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB).
- 1 to 2 years of relevant security experience; background in tertiary institutions is a distinct advantage.
- Ex-servicemen, former military, police, civil defense, or organized vigilante personnel are highly encouraged to apply.
- Medically and physically fit with strong observational skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Must possess high personal integrity, a clean criminal record, and the ability to work flexible shifts including days, nights, and weekends.
