About the Role
Cornerstone Montessori Schools, a leading institution renowned for discovery learning and child development in Nigeria, is seeking a compassionate and qualified School Nurse. In this vital role, you will ensure the health, safety, and well-being of our students from Early Years through College, creating a secure environment where children can thrive academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities- Administer first aid, basic life support, and emergency care for pupils and staff.
- Manage common childhood illnesses, injuries, allergies, and ongoing health conditions with care and precision.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential medical and health records.
- Safely administer prescribed medications in accordance with school policies and parental guidelines.
- Promote health and hygiene through school-wide wellness programs, health screenings, and educational initiatives.
- Liaise professionally with parents, teachers, and management regarding student health concerns.
- Minimum of a Registered Nurse (RN) qualification; Registered Midwife (RM) is an added advantage.
- Valid practicing license and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- At least 2 to 3 years of nursing experience, preferably within a school, pediatric, or clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of first aid, basic life support, and pediatric healthcare.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and emotional stability skills, with a natural affinity for children.
- Computer literacy for report preparation and health record management.
