Phidel College is a prestigious, fully computerized coeducational secondary school located in Isheri, Idimu, Lagos State. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate female School Nurse to join our team of competent and seasoned professionals in promoting the health, safety, and overall well-being of our students.
Key Responsibilities- Provide immediate and effective first aid, emergency care, and ongoing management for ill or injured students and staff.
- Maintain accurate, confidential health records and immunization tracking for all students in compliance with school policies.
- Conduct routine health screenings, vision and hearing tests, and growth monitoring as required.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely according to physician instructions and school guidelines.
- Educate students and staff on personal hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate closely with parents, teachers, and school administration regarding student health concerns and accommodations.
- Ensure the school clinic is fully stocked, clean, hygienic, and compliant with all relevant health and safety standards.
- Must be a registered nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Minimum of 2 to 4 years of clinical or school nursing experience, preferably working with children and adolescents.
- First aid and CPR certification is strictly required.
- Demonstrated female gender preference for this specific residential or day care school nurse role.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and empathy skills when dealing with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to remain calm, decisive, and professional during medical emergencies.
