Arrupe Jesuit College (AJC), a prestigious institution belonging to the Society of Jesus in the Roman Catholic Church, is currently seeking a dedicated and professional School Driver to join our dynamic support team. In this vital role, you will ensure the safe, punctual, and comfortable transportation of our students, staff, and goods while upholding the high standards and values of our college community.
Key Responsibilities- Safely and responsibly operate all assigned college vehicles in compliance with institutional policies.
- Transport students, staff, and goods to designated local and official destinations in a timely manner.
- Strictly adhere to all Nigerian traffic laws, road regulations, and safety protocols at all times.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Maintain the absolute cleanliness, tidiness, and organization of the interior and exterior of assigned vehicles.
- Assist students and staff with boarding and alighting, as well as the safe loading and unloading of goods when required.
- Proven professional driving experience with a verifiable clean driving record and accident-free history.
- Possession of a valid Nigerian driver's license and applicable commercial driving certifications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local traffic laws, major routes, and road navigation across the region.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, maintaining a polite and respectful demeanor with students and parents.
- Strong attention to detail, high safety consciousness, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Physical fitness and capability to assist with lifting and moving heavy items or luggage when necessary.
