About the Role
WTS Energy, a leading global manpower supply and consulting company to the energy and maritime sectors, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Fleet Director for our operations in Nigeria. In this executive role, you will provide unified oversight of our Marine and Technical Operations functions, ensuring every vessel remains safe, seaworthy, and fully compliant with all regulatory standards. You will lead a high-performing team of superintendents, drive strategic cost efficiencies, and serve as the senior escalation point for key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic direction and leadership to Marine and Technical Superintendents and their respective teams.
- Ensure the fleet meets Class, Flag State, Charterer, and statutory requirements at all times.
- Own the Planned Maintenance System (PMS) strategy to track, log, and close out maintenance jobs efficiently.
- Develop, monitor, and manage the annual fleet maintenance budget to drive sustainable cost reductions.
- Approve comprehensive dry-dock scopes, schedules, and qualified vendors while ensuring critical spares are available.
- Manage deployment requests and naval authority payments to guarantee 100 percent security personnel availability.
- Act as the senior escalation point for client inquiries during port calls and resolve operational bottlenecks swiftly.
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Nautical Science, Maritime Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in the marine and offshore shipping industry, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or fleet management role.
- Extensive experience managing diverse vessel types including AHTS, MPSV, and SCVs with DP Systems.
- Demonstrated expertise in dry-docking programs, maintenance budgets, and regulatory compliance.
- Master CoC Unlimited or Chief Engineer Unlimited certification is strongly preferred.
- Strong physical fitness and willingness to travel extensively to outports and offshore locations.
