About the Role
Lead British International School (LBIS), one of Nigeria's premier co-educational institutions, is looking for a dedicated and compassionate School and Hostel Nurse for our Ibadan campus. In this full-time, on-site role, you will be instrumental in safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of our pupils and students throughout the school day and within the residential hostel facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the daily operations of the school clinic, ensuring a clean, safe, and well-stocked healthcare environment.
- Provide prompt and effective first aid, emergency care, and routine health assessments for students.
- Administer prescribed medications safely and monitor ongoing student health conditions meticulously.
- Maintain accurate, confidential medical records in compliance with health and safety standards.
- Promote school health and hygiene practices while supporting health education initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with school leadership, teachers, and parents to address the physical and emotional needs of students.
- Coordinate referrals to external healthcare providers when specialized medical attention is required.
- Valid nursing license and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
- Proven experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or community health settings.
- Strong competencies in clinical assessment, treatment, and safe medication administration.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and record-keeping skills.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to remain calm and decisive during medical emergencies.
