About the Role
NutriK FZE, a proud subsidiary of the globally recognized Nutriset Group, plays a vital role in producing and distributing high-quality ready-to-use foods that support the treatment and prevention of malnutrition across Nigeria. We are currently seeking a proactive and vigilant Safety Marshall to support the implementation and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) rules at our workplace, ensuring safe conditions and promoting a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities- Enforce company safety policies, procedures, and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across all operational areas.
- Conduct routine site safety inspections around extrusion processing zones, ensuring machine guards and emergency stop buttons are fully functional.
- Monitor manufacturing and maintenance activities to ensure strict compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
- Identify workplace hazards, conduct basic risk assessments, and recommend effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Act as a first responder during emergencies, guiding employees and visitors while maintaining accessible firefighting equipment.
- Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and promote continuous safety awareness among workers and visitors.
- Exercise Stop-Work authority immediately in the presence of imminent danger or unsafe working conditions.
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 5 years of proven HSE experience within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
- Prior operational experience in extrusion, milling, or warehousing is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in basic occupational health principles, hazard identification, and emergency first aid.
- Strong computer literacy including working knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach peers and enforce compliance firmly.
