About the Role
Beacon Power Services has been at the forefront of developing energy management software and providing energy analytics in Nigeria since 2010. We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Associate - ESG to support the implementation and monitoring of our Environmental, Social, and Governance initiatives. In this role, you will help coordinate ESG activities, manage sustainability data, and ensure accurate reporting to stakeholders across our operating markets in a dynamic hybrid work environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the ESG Associate, you will play a critical role in tracking our sustainability progress and ensuring robust corporate governance.
- Translate ESG priorities into actionable initiatives, workplans, and structured operational roadmaps.
- Coordinate cross-functional ESG data collection, monitor data integrity, and draft comprehensive disclosure reports.
- Assess key Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) risks and apply effective mitigation, prevention, and incident response measures.
- Collaborate with internal teams and field units to ensure timely and accurate implementation of sustainability procedures.
The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in sustainability with strong analytical and communication capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in data management and Microsoft Office Suite for preparing professional reports.
- Basic understanding of ESG principles, environmental impact measurement, and sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, SASB, or IFC Standards.
- Excellent research, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with a high degree of autonomy.
- Prior experience in the energy, power, or infrastructure sectors, and familiarity with French fluency, are added advantages.
