About the Role
Hyatt Regency Lagos Ikeja is seeking a dedicated Safety Manager to join our pre-opening team at our stunning location in GRA, Ikeja. In this crucial role, you will champion our commitment to care by developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, fire, and environmental programs to protect our guests, colleagues, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement workplace health, safety, and environmental policies in compliance with Nigerian regulations and Hyatt brand standards.
- Manage the hotel Fire and Life Safety Program, coordinating emergency response plans, fire drills, and safety equipment inspections.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and thorough investigations of incidents or near misses.
- Deliver engaging safety orientation and training programs for all hotel colleagues.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Security, Housekeeping, and Food and Beverage departments to maintain a safe working environment.
- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional HSE certification such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or HSE Level 3.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant safety management experience, preferably within the hospitality or service industry.
- Deep understanding of local safety legislation and international hospitality safety protocols.
