About the Role
YellowDoor Hotels is a premier boutique hotel chain located in Abuja, Nigeria, offering sophisticated accommodations for business executives and leisure travelers. Our multi-functional restaurant and bar, The Living Room, operates at a high standard during every service, celebrating local cuisine and regional flavors. We are currently looking for energetic and detail-oriented Runners who can move fast, communicate clearly, and take pride in delivering every dish accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Collect plated dishes from the kitchen pass and deliver them to the correct tables with absolute precision.
- Confirm order accuracy and guest seating arrangements prior to every delivery.
- Communicate promptly and professionally with kitchen and floor staff regarding order readiness.
- Clear tables efficiently to maintain a smooth flow of service during peak operational periods.
- Keep service corridors and station areas clean and tidy throughout live service hours.
- Proactively support wait staff during busy rushes without needing explicit instruction.
- 1 to 3 years of relevant hospitality or restaurant experience in Abuja.
- Clear verbal communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
- Exceptional physical stamina required for long, active shifts on the restaurant floor.
- Strong team-player attitude with solid memorization skills for table layouts, sections, and basic menu offerings.
- Preferred: Familiarity with fine-dining service etiquette and the ability to assist guests with menu inquiries or upselling.
