About the Role
China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Nigeria Limited is a major international construction company and a subsidiary of the state-owned Chinese enterprise CCECC. Established in Nigeria in 1981, it has grown into one of the country's most prominent infrastructure development firms, with operations spanning all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. We are currently looking for a dedicated Road and Alignment Designer to contribute to our expanding portfolio of landmark civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities- Design road layouts, alignments, and intersections, carefully considering optimal traffic flow and international safety standards.
- Use advanced engineering software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation to produce detailed road and alignment design plans.
- Perform comprehensive traffic flow analysis and thoroughly evaluate the environmental impact of proposed road projects.
- Prepare and present professional road design reports to clients, regulatory bodies, and key project stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with geotechnical, environmental, and structural engineering teams to ensure structurally sound and safe designs.
- Ensure all engineering designs strictly comply with local Nigerian road safety regulations, codes, and standards.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant discipline with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in road design and alignment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation.
- Strong understanding of road safety standards, traffic management protocols, and environmental impact assessments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to formulate effective civil engineering solutions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills required for effective coordination with multidisciplinary project teams.
