About the Role
Money in Minutes (MIM) is an innovative UK-originated FinTech start-up launching exciting financial products across Nigeria. Our mission is to provide straightforward, instant finance to solve access-to-finance challenges in Africa, while empowering low and middle-class earners to acquire essential white goods and solar energy equipment. We are currently looking for a dynamic Risk and Compliance Analyst to join our growing team in Lagos and play a pivotal role in maintaining our high standards of operational integrity, regulatory adherence, and credit risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and deliver recurring operational and management reports with actionable insights.
- Manage and improve compliance investigation workflows, including documentation, tracking, and timely resolution.
- Conduct thorough credit risk and financial analysis to support portfolio monitoring and underwriting workflows.
- Prepare accurate, concise, and professional materials for leadership reviews.
- Handle analytical and compliance requests from team leads efficiently within agreed timelines.
- Identify manual bottlenecks and recommend or implement efficiency improvements to minimize errors.
- Proven professional experience in a risk management, compliance, or financial analysis role.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including PivotTables, lookup functions, and advanced formulas.
- Familiarity with data analytics or visualization tools such as Metabase.
- Exceptional attention to detail with proven experience managing reporting and workflow processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly.
- Willingness to undergo standard professional background verifications.
- Preferred: Experience with automation tools, macros, Python, regulatory reporting, or internal investigations.
