About the Role
Scruples Resources is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Rig Supervisor to represent our operations on an offshore FPSO platform in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will be the primary on-site contact responsible for ensuring that all well plans, drilling, and completion operations are executed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary company representative on the rig site to support the safe, efficient, and compliant execution of all well plans and operations.
- Communicate and uphold rigorous Safety, Security, Health, and Environment (SSHE) expectations, actively guiding and managing safety events.
- Drive Operations Integrity Management System (OIMS) standards across the rig site through clear communication and mentorship.
- Monitor daily rig activities, ensuring proper well control procedures are strictly followed and emergency preparedness drills are conducted on schedule.
- Supervise drilling and completion procedures, applying proper management of change processes when deviations are necessary.
- Coordinate logistics for all necessary equipment, materials, and third-party services to maintain continuous operational efficiency.
- Provide continuous on-site surveillance for critical areas including kick detection, mud properties, and solids control.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering and geology teams to ensure complete alignment with well objectives.
- Generate comprehensive, accurate, and timely daily operations reports.
- Proven professional experience in rig supervisory or rig leadership roles focused on drilling and completion operations.
- Demonstrated background working with a major oil and gas Operator or Drilling Contractor.
- Current, valid certification in Well Control.
- Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management abilities in a high-pressure offshore environment.
