About the Role

Myrtle Management Consultants is partnering with industry leaders to deliver exceptional operational excellence, and we are currently seeking a dedicated Rig Nurse / Medic. In this critical offshore role, you will be responsible for delivering top-tier medical care, managing health emergencies, and upholding rigorous safety standards for all personnel onboard the rig.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide immediate first aid, medical treatment, and emergency response for personnel onboard the rig.
  • Assess, manage, and stabilize injuries, illnesses, and medical emergencies while coordinating evacuations when necessary.
  • Manage the rig clinic, maintain medical equipment, and ensure adequate supplies of medications with monitored expiry dates.
  • Conduct routine health assessments, consultations, and promote occupational health and hygiene awareness.
  • Monitor food safety, sanitation, and general living conditions to maintain a healthy offshore environment.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and report all occupational incidents in line with company HSE procedures.
  • Participate actively in emergency drills, medical response exercises, and safety compliance audits.
Qualifications
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Midwife (RM), or qualified Paramedic certification with current professional body registration.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of clinical experience, specifically within offshore, marine, oil and gas, or emergency medicine environments.
  • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PHTLS or ITLS, alongside valid offshore safety credentials and medical fitness.
  • Proven expertise in medical evacuation coordination, occupational health, and emergency medical response.
  • Strong core competencies in patient care, hygiene management, and strict adherence to HSE compliance frameworks.
