About the Role
Obek Group of Companies Limited is a dynamic international conglomerate involved in large-scale EPCIC projects, energy services, and infrastructure development. We are currently seeking a strategic and results-driven Rig Maintenance & Asset Integrity Lead to oversee the technical reliability, availability, and lifecycle assurance of our drilling rigs, well-service equipment, and associated safety-critical assets in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement comprehensive rig maintenance, reliability, and asset-integrity strategies aligned with operational and business objectives.
- Provide technical governance for mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, hydraulic, pneumatic, and pressure-control systems.
- Manage structural integrity, lifting equipment, and safety-critical elements in compliance with API, ISO, and regulatory standards.
- Lead root-cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures, driving the transition from reactive maintenance to reliability-centered practices.
- Oversee rig acceptance audits, pre-mobilization readiness, technical due diligence, and major overhaul projects.
- Control maintenance planning, Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), spare parts inventory, and vendor relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive maintenance and asset-integrity experience in drilling, offshore/onshore rigs, or oilfield services.
- At least 5 years holding a senior maintenance, rig engineering, or reliability leadership role.
- Strong expertise in drilling-rig mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and safety-critical systems.
- Professional certifications such as CMRP or relevant asset-management credentials are highly desirable.
