About the Role
Sundry Foods Limited, one of Nigeria's leading and fastest-growing food services companies operating prominent brands like Kilimanjaro Restaurants and Pizza Jungle, is seeking a dedicated and analytical Resident Internal Auditor. In this role, you will be an integral part of our internal audit team, safeguarding company assets, evaluating internal controls, and ensuring strict adherence to organizational policies and regulatory standards across our nationwide operations.
Key Responsibilities- Execute comprehensive internal audit fieldwork to evaluate financial and operational processes.
- Conduct thorough audits of accounts payable, including the meticulous vetting of invoices against bin cards and security books.
- Oversee and observe end-of-month stock takes and cash count exercises.
- Review and vet imprest retirement schedules for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare weekly audit plans and submit detailed activity and audit reports to the Head of Department.
- Test and evaluate existing internal controls for adequacy and effectiveness.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting or a related financial discipline with at least a Second Class Lower division.
- Proven knowledge of fraud prevention techniques and risk management.
- Strong analytical, report writing, and problem-solving skills.
