About the Role
Control Risks is a global, independent risk consultancy helping influential organizations manage political, integrity, and security risks in complex environments. We are currently seeking a meticulous and driven Researcher to join our Scaled Diligence Programmes team, focusing on Citizenship by Investment (CBI) and third-party due diligence.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough media and database research using advanced search criteria and rigorous methodologies.
- Liaise with in-country human source networks to gather critical compliance information unavailable through open sources.
- Analyze complex corporate structures, identify beneficial ownership, and assess political or sanctions exposure.
- Evaluate findings against tailored risk assessment methodologies and summarize results in clear, concise reports.
- Manage multiple due diligence assignments concurrently under tight deadlines while collaborating effectively with global team members.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a strong academic or professional track record.
- Demonstrated passion for identifying indicators of financial crime, money laundering, and identity fraud.
- Familiarity with the media, legal, and integrity risk landscapes of regions such as sub-Saharan Africa, MENA, or Asia.
- Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into plain English.
- Prior experience in OSINT and HUMINT intelligence gathering, alongside proficiency in additional languages, is highly desirable.
