About the Role

We are currently looking for a dynamic and analytical Research Officer to lead impactful research projects, supervise tasks, and collaborate effectively with our high-performing research team. In this role, you will work with minimal supervision to deliver actionable insights within agreed timelines, playing a critical part in solving complex problems for our clients in the financial and professional services sectors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead research projects from inception to completion, managing tasks and collaborating seamlessly with team members.
  • Conduct comprehensive literature searches across diverse databases and draft interview guides, surveys, and research instruments.
  • Collect facts, statistics, and industry data to support in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses.
  • Perform advanced data analysis and summarization using tools such as SPSS, Stata, and Tableau.
  • Prepare professional reports, policy briefs, discussion papers, and presentations utilizing Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Engage in policy and advocacy initiatives, liaising with client research units and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure stringent quality control, data validation, and strict adherence to research codes of ethics across all deliverables.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in any social science, business, or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of proven experience in research, consulting, monitoring and evaluation, economics, or business analysis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistical analysis packages including SPSS, Stata, and Tableau.
  • Advanced operational knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data management and PowerPoint for presentations.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and numerical analysis capabilities.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to multitask, manage tight deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
