The University of Benin (UNIBEN) is seeking a dedicated and scholarly individual to join our esteemed institution as a Research Fellow I within the Centre For Federalism and Democratic Studies. Key Responsibilities- Conduct high-level, independent research on federalism, democratic studies, public administration, and related socio-political issues.
- Publish scholarly articles in reputable peer-reviewed national and international journals.
- Secure research grants and contribute to the development of externally funded academic projects.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, government agencies, and civil society organizations on policy-oriented research.
- Participate in departmental seminars, conferences, and academic workshops to disseminate research findings.
- Contribute to curriculum development and provide academic mentorship to undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Must possess a PhD or Master's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Law, Political Economy, Development Studies, Sociology, History, or a related discipline.
- Basic qualification requirement includes a First Degree not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
- Must have a minimum of 7 years of relevant working or professional experience in academia, research, or an applicable field.
- Requirement of at least three (3) peer-reviewed publications in recognized academic journals.
- Demonstrable evidence of professional competence, strong research capacity, and significant scholarly contributions.
