About the Role
CHI Limited, the undisputed market leader in fruit juices, fruit drinks, and yoghurts in Nigeria with iconic brands like CHIVITA and Hollandia, is seeking a dynamic Regulatory Manager. In this pivotal role, you will lead regulatory compliance, product registration, advertising approvals, and regulatory affairs, ensuring all operations and marketing communications align with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure strict compliance with NAFDAC, SON, LASCOPA, FCCPC, and food safety regulations while coordinating regulatory audits and inspections.
- Manage end-to-end product registrations, renewals, variations, and the acquisition of statutory permits like cGMP and MANCAP.
- Review advertising scripts, packaging artwork, digital content, and product claims to secure required approvals prior to market release.
- Monitor regulatory intelligence, maintain legislation databases, and provide expert guidance to cross-functional teams including R&D, Marketing, and Legal.
- Represent the organization in engagements with regulatory agencies, managing objections, directives, and comprehensive risk assessments.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related biological science.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in Regulatory Affairs or Quality Assurance within the FMCG or Food & Beverage industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Comprehensive knowledge of NAFDAC guidelines, advertising controls, product labelling, and quality management systems such as HACCP and ISO 22000.
