About the Role
Dangote Group, Africa's leading diversified business conglomerate, is seeking a strategic and analytical Tax Manager to join our dynamic team at our operational headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria. In this critical role, you will spearhead tax compliance, planning, and risk management initiatives for Dangote Cement Plc, ensuring optimal financial positioning while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory standards across federal and state jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately prepare and file federal and state tax returns in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement innovative tax planning strategies to optimize the organization's tax position.
- Coordinate and manage tax audits, investigations, and assessments by relevant tax authorities.
- Oversee tax accounting and reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Review contracts, business transactions, and related party dealings to ensure transfer pricing compliance and recommend tax-efficient structures.
- Supervise, mentor, and guide members of the internal tax team.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or a related discipline.
- Relevant professional accounting qualifications such as ACA or ACCA.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant corporate tax experience, with Big Four accounting firm experience being a distinct advantage.
- Deep expertise in Nigerian tax legislation, corporate taxation, indirect taxation, and transfer pricing regulations.
- Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite, complemented by strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
