About the Role
Sun King is the world's leading off-grid solar energy provider, distributing reliable power solutions to over 82 million customers across Africa and Asia. We are currently looking for a passionate, analytical, and results-driven Regional Collections Manager to join our Risk department in Yenagoa, Bayelsa, Nigeria. In this vital role, you will lead regional portfolio analysis, optimize repayment strategies, and manage field collections to ensure sustainable business growth while empowering rural communities.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze regional portfolio and repayment trends to establish daily, weekly, and monthly debt recovery strategies.
- Conduct field and mystery market visits to evaluate sales quality and mitigate issues related to product tampering and payment defaults.
- Collaborate with Area Business Managers and Field Sales Executives to execute product repossessions when necessary.
- Design, pilot, and operationalize effective collection processes that drive repayment rates and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Provide regular progress reports to zonal credit analysts, highlighting field interventions and customer insights.
- Train Field Sales Executives on professional collection techniques, repossession protocols, and handling difficult customer interactions.
- Recruit and establish authorized cash collection centers within key operational areas.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma in Finance, Credit Risk Management, Community Development, Communication, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in credit collections, debt recovery, or risk management, preferably within microfinance, fintech, or the banking sector.
- Demonstrated field experience working directly with rural customers and managing credit settlements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and fluency in the local language of the assigned territory.
