About the Role
FairMoney, a leading digital financial platform in Nigeria, is seeking a strategic and results-driven Recovery Manager to join our Abuja team. In this pivotal role, you will lead our nationwide and regional loan recovery operations, ensuring optimized portfolio performance and adherence to ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive field recovery strategies to reduce Portfolio at Risk (PAR) and non-performing loan ratios.
- Set clear KPIs, zonal recovery plans, and daily activity expectations for field recovery officers and supervisors.
- Oversee borrower visits, skip-tracing, location validation, and complex recovery escalations.
- Ensure all recovery processes strictly adhere to CBN Consumer Protection Regulations and ethical collection practices.
- Recruit, train, and supervise high-performing field recovery teams and third-party agents.
- Collaborate with Credit, Risk, Legal, and Customer Service departments for holistic case management.
- Improve field recovery processes, route planning, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or professional certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in field recovery within the Nigerian financial lending industry.
- At least 2 to 3 years in a senior leadership or field supervisory role.
- In-depth familiarity with CBN guidelines, debt recovery laws, and ethical collection standards.
