About the Role
Lovonus Microfinance Bank is licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria and insured by the NDIC, dedicated to delivering cost-effective financial services to low-income earners, micro, and small entrepreneurs. We are currently seeking a results-driven and analytical Recovery Manager to join our dynamic team on a full-time, on-site basis at our head office located in Iddo, Lagos Mainland, Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee comprehensive loan recovery activities, tracking overdue accounts, and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding balances.
- Contact delinquent clients and negotiate sustainable repayment plans aligned with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Analyze overall portfolio performance to identify high-risk accounts and proactively implement effective recovery strategies.
- Collaborate closely with credit and operations teams to recommend process improvements aimed at reducing future loan defaults.
- Prepare accurate recovery reports and maintain thorough documentation of all collection actions conducted ethically and professionally.
- Bachelor's degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of loan recovery processes, credit risk management, and microfinance banking operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in data analysis, portfolio monitoring, and the use of modern loan management software.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills for engaging with diverse clients and stakeholders.
- In-depth understanding of relevant banking regulations, including guidelines set by the Central Bank of Nigeria.
- Proven prior experience in loan recovery, collections, or credit control within a recognized financial institution.
