We are currently inviting applications from qualified and visionary academics for the position of Reader in Medical Laboratory Science to join our esteemed faculty for the 2026/2027 Academic Session.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strong academic, administrative, and professional leadership in the Department of Medical Laboratory Science.
- Conduct high-quality research and publish scholarly articles in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals.
- Initiate, develop, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
- Teach, mentor, and evaluate students in accordance with university standards and curriculum guidelines.
- Contribute to curriculum development and participate in departmental and institutional committee assignments.
- Establish collaborative research partnerships and engage with relevant professional bodies and industry stakeholders.
- Hold a Ph.D. degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a directly relevant academic field.
- Possess a minimum of nine (9) years of continuous, full-time teaching and research experience in a recognized tertiary institution.
- Demonstrate a robust publication record in reputable peer-reviewed national and international outlets.
- Active membership in relevant professional regulatory bodies.
- Proven ability to provide academic leadership and mentor junior faculty members.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with demonstrable competence in digital learning platforms.
