The Federal University of Allied Health Sciences, Enugu (FUAHSE) is seeking a distinguished academic leader to join our vibrant institution as a Reader (Associate Professor). Key ResponsibilitiesAs a Reader, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the academic and research profile of the university. Your core duties will encompass:
- Delivering high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions within your specialized field.
- Conducting impactful, peer-reviewed research and publishing in reputable local and international journals.
- Supervising undergraduate and graduate student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Participating in curriculum development, review, and continuous enhancement to meet global healthcare standards.
- Engaging in departmental, faculty, and university-wide administrative duties and committees.
- Mentoring junior academic staff and fostering a collaborative, ethical learning environment.
Candidates applying for the Reader position must meet the following criteria:
- Possession of a PhD or relevant terminal degree in a related Allied Health Science discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- Demonstrated extensive teaching and research experience at the university level, currently holding a Senior Lecturer position or equivalent.
- A robust portfolio of scholarly publications in high-impact academic journals.
- Demonstrated competence, impeccable integrity, and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of FUAHSE.
