About the Role
Skyway Aviation Handling Company Limited (SAHCOL), a 100% owned subsidiary of the SIFAX Group, is a premier aviation ground handling service provider in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Ramp Coordinator to join our vibrant operations team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all aircraft turnaround functions are executed safely, punctually, and in strict compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure seamless coordination of aircraft turnaround functions including deplaning, cleaning, offloading, fueling, water servicing, boarding, and baggage loading.
- Ensure strict adherence to policies and procedures outlined in the Ground Operations manual.
- Provide complete flight supervision during shifts, maintaining accurate station logs and recording all flight movements.
- Inspect aircraft holds visually before loading and perform rigorous baggage reconciliation in the baggage hall.
- Verify and ensure mandatory flight documents such as Load and Trim Sheets and passenger manifests are properly completed and put on board.
- Monitor offloads, document variances, and communicate effectively with customer airlines and load controllers via email and reports.
- Coordinate proper handling procedures for special shipments, including dangerous goods (DGR), human remains, and firearms.
- Supervise ramp equipment usage to facilitate quick and efficient aircraft turnarounds while maintaining safety protocols.
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in a relevant field; B.Sc or HND holders are also encouraged to apply.
- 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in aviation ground handling or ramp operations.
- Mandatory job-specific training and certifications, such as Aircraft Turnaround Training and DGR Awareness.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with professional presentation abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coordinate and supervise efficiently under high-pressure conditions.
