About the Role
Medicaid Cancer Foundation (MCF) invites passionate and dedicated healthcare professionals to join our mission as Volunteer Radiographers. Founded in 2014, MCF provides a much-needed support system for cancer patients, families, and caregivers while addressing the financial and emotional burdens of cancer treatment. By volunteering your specialized skills, you will play a pivotal role in our diagnostic initiatives, community outreach programs, and our signature WalkAway Cancer awareness campaigns, helping us bring sustainable healthcare solutions to vulnerable populations across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures with high standards of precision and patient care.
- Assist in community-based medical outreaches and cancer screening camps.
- Educate patients and their families on screening processes and imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams to ensure timely and accurate diagnosis.
- Maintain equipment safety and adhere to standard radiation protection protocols.
- Participate in foundation-led advocacy and cancer awareness campaigns.
- Degree or Diploma in Radiography from a recognized institution.
- Current and valid practicing license from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
- Proven clinical experience in general radiography or specialized imaging modalities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with deep empathy for cancer patients and vulnerable groups.
- Ability to volunteer effectively within a fast-paced, mission-driven NGO environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English and local Nigerian languages are an advantage.
