About the Role
The Akwa Ibom State Civil Service Commission, the constitutional statutory body responsible for human resource management within the state's public sector, is recruiting a Radiographer at GL.10 level. Operating under the ARISE Agenda framework, the commission oversees manpower planning, institutional discipline, and career progression across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). In this role, you will deliver essential diagnostic imaging services, contributing to improved healthcare outcomes for the state's workforce and the general public.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic radiography and radiological imaging procedures using modern medical equipment
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and image acquisition according to established clinical protocols
- Maintain comprehensive records of all radiological examinations and findings
- Uphold strict radiation safety and protection standards for patients and staff
- Collaborate with medical professionals to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Maintain and monitor radiological equipment to ensure optimal functionality
- Provide professional support to healthcare facilities within the civil service
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Medical Radiography or Radiological Sciences
- Professional qualifications in Radiography
- Current registration with relevant professional regulatory bodies
- Proven experience in diagnostic radiography and patient care
- Strong knowledge of radiation safety and protection protocols
