About the Role
The Outsource Company, a 100% privately held Nigerian enterprise, seeks an experienced Head Nurse to lead our nursing department. This senior leadership role is pivotal in maintaining exceptional patient care standards, managing our dedicated nursing team, and ensuring operational excellence within our modern healthcare facility in Abuja.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership to nursing staff including Matrons, Charge Nurses, Registered Nurses, and Nursing Assistants
- Develop and implement comprehensive nursing policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
- Recruit, train, and evaluate nursing personnel; conduct regular performance assessments
- Monitor patient care activities to ensure strict adherence to established standards and safety protocols
- Manage staffing levels, schedules, and resource allocation efficiently
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Implement quality improvement initiatives and participate in audits and accreditation processes
- Foster effective communication between nursing teams and hospital administration
- Promote professional development and maintain a positive work environment
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent
- Valid nursing license and registration with relevant professional bodies
- 5+ years nursing experience with proven leadership background
- Strong knowledge of nursing best practices and healthcare regulations
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with budget management and resource optimization
