Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-rays and other procedures within your professional scope of practice.
- Prepare patients for examinations by clearly explaining procedures to ensure their comfort, relaxation, and cooperation.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain sophisticated radiographic equipment in strict accordance with established safety protocols.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images by ensuring precise patient positioning and optimal exposure settings.
- Apply rigorous radiation safety and protection measures to safeguard patients, staff, and visitors at all times.
- Review completed images for diagnostic quality and verify that all necessary anatomical views have been accurately captured.
- Maintain accurate, confidential, and comprehensive patient records and imaging documentation.
- Collaborate closely with Radiologists, Physicians, Nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnoses.
- Adhere to strict infection prevention and control standards during all imaging procedures.
- Monitor equipment functionality, promptly reporting any faults or routine maintenance needs to management.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree or equivalent professional qualification in Radiography.
- Valid registration and current practicing license with the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN).
- Proven clinical experience working in a reputable hospital, diagnostic center, or healthcare facility.
- Demonstrated expertise in radiographic procedures, patient positioning, and modern imaging protocols.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient-care skills with a strong customer-service orientation.
